Refined yet relatable

One & Only is a restaurant and bar in Madison, WI that takes its name from the previous restaurant at the location, which was a neighborhood staple. They wanted the atmosphere of the restaurant to be approachable fine dining—somewhere you can take the family and treat yourself to a fancy cocktail—and the branding needed to reflect that. Beyond the primary logo they also needed additional versions for social media, coasters and napkins, menus, and primarily a hand painted / gold leafed logo on their front window. In addition to designing this logo I was also asked to press the file in a specific way for the muralist to use as a guide. The project was extremely successful, resulting in a clear and readable logo that subtly reflects the finer quality of food and drink. A memorable brand aesthetic in a flooded industry, the logo is truly the one and only.
